We’re our first Founding Frontend Engineer to join Tracebit and deliver on an ambitious product vision to reduce the global mean time to detect and contain security incidents from months to minutes.

The two founders are building on their experience at Tessian to vastly improve an organisation’s cloud security (and beyond). This is a fairly unique opportunity to join a UK based security product company that is about to take off!

We’re looking for someone who…

• Cares deeply about producing high quality work and is ready to dig into the details but is savvy in making the correct tradeoffs on pace vs. quality.
• Has spent at least a few years shipping frontend software at some degree of scale and/or criticality, ideally at a Product focused company.
• Is passionate about the full stack of frontend - Design, UX, UI (knows both CSS and Figma inside out).
• Is excited by the pace and rate of change that is inevitable in any successful, early stage startup.
• Gets their energy from getting things done and in the hands of customers but is also here to have fun along the way!

We're a C# shop and we're building a security product, if you lack experience in either but can see yourself getting excited about working in C# and security - that works for us!

Role

• Reporting to Sam, our CTO and Co-Founder, you’ll join a team of other exceptional engineers looking to make their mark on the world.
• Working across the stack with a focus on our portal built out in Tailwind, HTMX and C#.
• All the good practices you’d expect from technical co-founders who’ve done this before (CD, Infrastructure as code, simple but scalable and powerful architecture).
• We’re a small, tight team with demanding customers so expect to be shipping every day with very little process.
• We’re based in a Central London office and work here 5 days a week (and everyone we hire will too).
• You'll be the first frontend team member, working closely with a group of sharp and friendly backend focused engineers.

Tracebit

Immediate next steps for us are building significant breadth into this system, but then on to the response and containment that is necessary for a security breach.

We’re currently protecting a significant number of AWS accounts, we’re excited at what we can achieve with the right team behind us!

Interview Process

Our general interview process looks as follows:

• 30 minute initial call with founder or lead engineer - understanding your motivations and achievements so far (video call).
• Short 'take home' exercise (at home).
• 1-2.5 hour interview with the wider team, likely including pair programming and design questions (in our London office).

We'll ensure you get to meet as much of the team as possible, we also love your questions throughout the interview process and will ensure we make time in all interviews for you to ask us questions.
