Context

The National Institute for Sickness and Disability Insurance (RIZIV) is undergoing a significant digital transformation. As a federal institution with a broad and complex IT landscape, RIZIV is seeking an experienced .NET Software Engineer to build high-quality software in an agile environment. You will contribute to the development of digital products that have a direct impact on the social security and healthcare of millions of Belgians. The Software Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team and works in short, iterative cycles. You not only deliver working software, but also actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team and are open to new ways of working, including AI-supported development. Since RIZIV is a federal institution, stakeholders are both Dutch-speaking and French-speaking.

Skills

  • Actively contribute to code quality through code reviews, automated tests, and the application of best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, solution architects, and other team members in an agile methodology.
  • Contribute ideas for technical solutions and architectural choices, and translate these into concrete implementations.
  • Detect and resolve bugs and performance issues in existing applications.
  • Contribute to the integration of AI tools into the daily development workflow.
  • Create and maintain documentation of developed components.
  • Actively participate in sprint ceremonies such as refinements, plannings, and retrospectives.
