Senior business analyst

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, structuring, and formalizing business needs within the framework of Capac’s transformation initiatives, particularly those related to the core business (unemployment benefits payments) and digitalization projects.

They act both as an expert in business analysis and as a structuring reference for the development of internal business analysis capability.

They work in the ARC department, in close collaboration with business, IT, PMO and Strategy teams, and actively contribute to the quality, coherence, and feasibility of the defined solutions.

Role Description

The Senior Business Analyst is involved end-to-end in the initiatives:

  • understanding business needs
  • analysis of existing processes
  • identification of possible improvements
  • formalization of requirements (functional and non-functional)
  • support through to implementation

At the same time, they play a key role in:

  • structuring business analysis practices
  • developing internal competencies
  • progressively creating an internal team of business analysts

Responsibilities

Business analysis and content production

  • Gather, analyze, and challenge stakeholder needs
  • Identify gains in efficiency, quality, and automation
  • Formalize requirements (user stories, specifications, acceptance criteria, etc.)
  • Ensure coherence between business needs, IT constraints, and strategic objectives
  • Participate in the prioritization of initiatives in line with Capac’s governance model
  • Contribute to validation, testing, and production phases

Structuring the business analysis function

  • Define and promote standards, methods, and tools for business analysis
  • Implement best practices adapted to the CAPAC context (pragmatism, lightness)
  • Contribute to the governance of analyses (quality, coherence, traceability)

Coaching & internal competence development

  • Supervise and support business experts wishing to move into a business analyst role
  • Train in basic analysis techniques (processes, requirements, modeling, etc.)
  • Ensure progressive transfer of skills
  • Implement mentoring and feedback mechanisms
  • Contribute to the emergence of an autonomous team of internal business analysts

Coordination and collaboration

  • Act as a liaison point between business, IT, and project teams
  • Facilitate workshops (workshops, framing, validation)
  • Identify and manage dependencies between initiatives
  • Contribute to problem-solving related to understanding needs
  • Participate in relevant governance bodies

  • Ability to structure and formalize needs in a clear and accessible way
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or training
  • Excellent communication skills (FR/NL required)
  • Pragmatic, results-oriented, able to work “hands-on”
  • Ability to switch between global vision and operational detail

Collaboration framework

Reports to: ARC Director

Frequent interactions: PMO, Strategy, business teams, IT, management

Participation in governance bodies and project workshops

Hybrid mode with on-site presence required to support colleagues
