ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager ICT who will take responsibility for the preparation, coordination, and successful realization of large and complex projects within our care organization. This is a temporary position until the end of 2026, pending the filling of an internal vacancy, but with the possibility of extension. If you are interested in permanent employment afterward, that is an advantage.

You combine a strong technical affinity with advanced expertise in project management. You are responsible for achieving results in line with i-mens’s strategic objectives, providing structure, safeguarding coherence, and connecting stakeholders.

You work closely with program management, project teams, business and technical experts, management, and other internal and external stakeholders.

You are responsible for the entire lifecycle of a project: from initiation and structuring to execution, follow-up, adjustment, and final delivery.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Project Management

• You lead multiple large and complex projects.
• You apply professional project methodologies and pragmatically translate these into the concrete working environment.
• You translate strategic objectives into clear project goals, scope, deliverables, milestones, and concrete implementation plans.
• You create realistic schedules and monitor timing, budget, quality, resources, dependencies, and risks.
• You ensure clear project governance with well-defined roles, responsibilities, decision-making structures, and escalation paths.
• You safeguard the coherence between your projects and other projects in the organization, in close contact with the program manager.
• You identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies in a timely manner and take initiative to keep them manageable.
• You lead multidisciplinary project teams and ensure that technical, operational, and organizational interests are aligned.
• You organize and facilitate steering groups and project meetings, ensuring efficient decision-making.

Stakeholder Management and Decision-Making

You operate smoothly within a complex stakeholder environment and know how to connect various interests.

• You build strong working relationships with management, technical experts, project teams, clients, partners, suppliers, and other involved stakeholders.
• You ensure clear, transparent, and targeted communication throughout the entire project duration.
• You advise necessary stakeholders on progress, risks, feasibility, budget, resources, and impact.
• You ensure that the program manager, sponsors, and steering groups have timely and accurate information to make informed decisions.
• You create support for decisions and changes and know how to engage stakeholders at different levels.
• You monitor agreements made and ensure that decisions are effectively translated into action and results.

Reporting and Control

• You provide objective and up-to-date reporting on scope, planning, budget, quality, resources, risks, and dependencies.
• You monitor progress using clear KPIs, milestones, and deliverables.
• You signal deviations in a timely manner and formulate concrete proposals for adjustment.
• You ensure that decision-making, responsibilities, actions, and changes are correctly documented and followed up.
• You ensure that projects remain aligned with strategic objectives and agreed business results, together with the program manager.

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

• You have a higher education at Bachelor's or Master's level with a technical or engineering background, or are equivalent through relevant experience.
• You have demonstrable experience in technical environments where complex projects and programs are realized.
• You understand the dynamics and complexity of development projects and can work smoothly with technical specialists and other disciplines.

EXPERIENCE

• You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in leading development projects.
• Of this, you have at least 5 years of experience in leading projects within large and complex programs.
• You have extensive experience with multidisciplinary project teams, complex stakeholder structures, and projects with multiple interdependencies.
• Experience within a PMO, portfolio, or program organization is a significant asset.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE

• You have expert knowledge of the terminology, organization, roles, governance, and processes within recognized PM methodologies, such as PRINCE2. Certification is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of other methodologies and frameworks such as PMBOK/PMP, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe is a plus.
• You are able not only to apply methodologies but also to transfer expertise and guide others in this area.
• You combine methodological discipline with pragmatism: the methodology supports the result and is not a goal in itself.

LANGUAGES

• You have an excellent professional knowledge (native level) of Dutch.
• You have a good knowledge of English.

PRACTICAL

• Location: office Zwijnaarde (Tramstraat 61 9052 Zwijnaarde). We offer flexible working hours and telework. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, you work two fixed days at the office, but on other days you are free to choose.
• You are willing, if necessary, to travel to other locations in Flanders and Brussels.
