NTT DATA is currently looking for an IT Functional Analyst for a public institution in Brussels.

Location: Hybrid (Remote + On-site in Brussels 1 day/week)
Freelance contract until 30/09/2025, renewable in 3- or 6-month extensions

Your role:
As part of a strategic program to take over and modernize a portion of the organisation application landscape, we are looking for experienced IT Consultants to strengthen our internal teams.

About the Program:
The Program involves the operational management takeover of approximately 30 business-critical applications in its initial phase. These applications vary widely in both business function and technology stack.

Key activities include:

• Hand Over/Take Over: Documentation, application maintenance, and development of new features.
• Reengineering or Full Rewrites: Bringing legacy applications up to modern development standards.

Your profile:

• You have at least 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
• Strong functional and business analysis skills to quickly grasp complex domains.
• Ability to abstract and document complex systems to support onboarding of new team members.
• A collaborative mindset and ease in integrating into existing teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
• Solid experience with standard development technologies: Java, PostgreSQL, Angular, Selenium, Maven, Git, JIRA, etc.
• Good understanding of software architecture and development principles.
