Front End Engineer, expert level
Profile Description Lead Front End Engineer, Specialization Angular 2+
The Office of the Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons is a federal independent administration. The mission of CGVS is to provide protection to individuals who, if returned to their country of origin, are at risk of persecution or serious harm.
In accordance with Belgian, European, and international standards, CGVS examines each request for international protection in an individual, objective, and impartial manner.
Within CGVS, a modernization process has been initiated, translated into the eDossier program. It is a very ambitious program, consisting of several projects, with a very tight timeline. To further develop and shape this program, we are looking for strong profiles who are willing to commit temporarily (fixed-term contracts (time and means), immediately terminable, extendable based on positive evaluation) until the delivery, scheduled at least until the end of 2028.
One of the profiles we are looking for is a Lead Front End Developer/Engineer, expert level (10+ years of experience, mandatory), specialized in Angular 2+ and with thorough knowledge of RUST. The development of websites is not considered relevant experience, while the development of web portals or webshops is. If you are a fullstack developer, you have performed at least 6 years of full-time front end development in the last 10 years (mandatory).
A description of the tasks and required competencies can be found below. You will form a team with other experienced, highly competent, and motivated individuals. You can always rely on the knowledge and competences of our architecture team.
If you are attracted by the core mission of CGVS and match the tasks and required competencies, do not hesitate to apply. The focus is on analysis, design, and implementation. Those looking for four days of telework will be disappointed with us. To foster team spirit, we ask that you are present in the office three days per week. Our offices are located next to Brussels South station.
