Business Analyst & Tester

You will strengthen the SPW Digital team working on the digitization of urban planning and environmental permits. You will mainly interact with the relevant business units (ARNE and TLPE) to understand their context and objectives, clarify their needs, and model/document their expectations. You will support the project managers in defining these needs and will model/document the business expectations.

As a BA and tester, you will work in close collaboration with the teams from both business units as well as the team responsible for the coordination and cross-functional management of the program and all other relevant stakeholders.

Within this framework, your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Understand the context and objectives of the ARNE and TLPE business units (Environment, Urban Planning, and Territorial Development);
  • Model the business expectations by highlighting all data flows and exchanges between the different internal and external stakeholders involved in these processes. This analysis must be carried out transversally across several departments and serve as a basis for a requirements specification;
  • Define the functional and non-functional requirements of the solution to be implemented in agreement with the relevant business units and the SPW Digital staff involved in the project;
  • Facilitate analysis workshops and the drafting of acceptance test scenarios with the business units;
  • Facilitate, in collaboration with the project managers, the workshops for executing tests by the business units;
  • Draft validation test scenarios in accordance with the test and quality strategy drafted and validated by the program quality manager. Support the business units in executing the drafted test scenarios;
  • Communicate and have all deliverables validated by the relevant business units;
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the business (concepts, jargon, rules);
  • Verify that the chosen solution meets the stated expectations;
  • Contribute to the smooth progress of the project within the program.

Activities

  • Prepare, facilitate, and document working sessions with the business units;
  • Coordinate with the analyst and the SPW Digital test coordinator (Programme PRW292) to ensure consistency in the analysis;
  • Collaborate closely and proactively with the business units involved in the project and their external partners;
  • Model / draft / maintain the requirements specification and communicate it;
  • Model / draft / maintain the test scenarios and communicate them.

Be proactive in proposing simplification and pooling of resources, taking into account the constraints of the project and while respecting all stakeholders.

Evaluation method

The candidate will be evaluated through an interview. We will first ask the candidate to introduce themselves briefly, then we will present the assignment. We will then ask the candidate questions to verify their experience, technical and behavioral skills, as well as their suitability and motivation for the assignment. We will ask the candidate to illustrate their answers with concrete examples from their personal experience, and we will evaluate their reaction to given situations.
