Athora Belgium is seeking a Life Insurance Business Analyst within the Life Insurance division to join the “BUSINESS CHANGE & MONITORING” team to support the portfolio migration project or commercial development projects. This team of 10 people specialized in individual and collective life insurance consists of 3 types of functions: Actuaries, Business Analysts, and testers.

Your Responsibilities

Based on your profile, the project aims at migrating individual life insurance policies

Policy calculation analysis and development

• Analyze products and actuarial calculations differences of source system vs target in the context of life insurance policies migration
• Develop tools to calculate migrated policies and to validate target system migration and documentation
• Assess actuarial calculation changes between source and target system, and facilitate decisions by management
• Support Business Analysts in actuarial topics

Testing

• Define testing approach to validate target system migrated policies calculations
• Execute testing for actuarial calculations (unit testing and mass testing)
• Follow-up of actuarial testing progress and defect resolution

Actuarial change management

• Document policies actuarial calculations in detailed technical notes
• Develop tools to facilitate understanding of the target system calculations by end user actuaries
• Develop instruction leaflets for target systems and tools
• Train actuaries in the usage of target systems actuarial tools

Your Profile

• Imperative knowledge of individual life insurance products and Classique products
• Knowledge in life insurance policies actuarial calculations
• Knowledge in life insurance migrations
• Proven successful experience as actuary
• Strong commitment to project quality and deadlines; a “can-do” attitude and flexibility
• Autonomous and proactive in finding solutions to obtain necessary information
• University degree in actuary or mathematics (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the life insurance sector and actuaries topics
• Proficient in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
• Structured, organized (good priority management), and pragmatic
• Strong adaptability and learning ability
• Ability to popularize actuarial topics
• Effective communication with all audiences (actuaries, IT experts, management, etc.)
• Client and results-oriented
