We are looking for an experienced Java architect to join our development teams, who will be responsible for assignments entrusted to us by clients.

We expect the candidate to be not only highly skilled technically but also to have proven experience in managing a group of Java developers, including defining and allocating their tasks as well as organizing activities such as code review, managing Merge requests, releases, deployments…

The candidate must also demonstrate excellent abilities on several levels:

• Capacity for abstraction in order to propose improvement solutions related to an existing application, as well as to design and architect new developments while respecting Smals Technical standards and stacks.

• Understanding of business needs and definition of a coherent architectural vision in relation to all the business domains covered.

• Integration into an existing team.

The working language can be French or Dutch, but a minimum knowledge of the second national language is required.

The assignment will initially be confirmed until 31/12/2025 and may then be extended in periods of 3 or 6 months.
